An 18-year-old has tragically lost his life, and three other teenagers were injured following a devastating single-vehicle crash Friday night in Cockeysville, according to Baltimore County police. Authorities reported that officers were dispatched to the scene at the intersection of Poplar Hill Road and Merrymans Mill Road around 9:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that a vehicle traveling southbound on Poplar Hill Road had veered off the roadway and struck a tree. The force of the collision caused severe damage to the vehicle and resulted in critical injuries among the occupants.
Ryan Duvall, an 18-year-old passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passing has deeply affected those who knew him, particularly within the community of Quest Martial Arts Center in nearby Phoenix, where he had been an active and dedicated student since 2018. Instructors and fellow students remember Ryan as committed, respectful, and driven—qualities that made him stand out both on and off the mat.
The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency care. Two additional passengers—a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old—were also injured in the crash.
